The 9th “Belt and Road” Business Services Forum Successfully Held at Jimei University, Xiamen, China

On 5 December 2025, the 9th “Belt and Road” Business Services Forum was grandly convened in Lecture Hall 105 of the Shang Building at Jimei University, Xiamen. Guided by the Global Alliance for Trade in Services, this forum was jointly organised by Reanda International, the China Society for World Trade Organization Studies and Jimei University. Centred on the theme ‘Business Services Underpin the Steady and Sustainable Development of the “Belt and Road” Initiative’, the forum gathered nearly 500 representatives from global alliance for trade in services, government departments, professional institutions, universities and enterprises. 

The forum commenced with a video highlight showcasing achievements from previous forums. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Qiu Weijie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jimei University, delivered a welcome address on behalf of Jimei University, extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. 

Mr. Huang Jinhui, Chairman of Reanda International, extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all guests who had travelled to attend the forum. He emphasised that professional services serve as a vital link in fostering international economic and trade cooperation. Moving forward, Reanda will leverage its global network resources to assist enterprises in enhancing their compliance capabilities and cross-border operational standards. 

Mr. Jiang Zengwei, Chairman of the Global Alliance for Trade in Services called upon all parties to strengthen policy coordination and standard alignment, advocating for green trade and digital trade to become new engines driving “Belt and Road” cooperation in his leadership address.

During the keynote speech, Mr. Ma Jianchun, President of the China Society for World Trade Organization Studies and former Chinese Ambassador to The Gambia, delivered a presentation entitled ‘Green Trade and “Belt and Road” Cooperation’. He provided an in-depth analysis of the potential for international collaboration in the green and low-carbon sectors. 

During the forum, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Singapore (ISCA) and Reanda International jointly launched the ESG distance learning programmes aimed at cultivating cross-regional expertise in green finance and ESG. The forum also witnessed strategic cooperation signing ceremonies between the People's Government of Jimei District, Xiamen and Reanda International, alongside the China Society for Foreign Trade and the School of Finance and Economics at Jimei University. Reanda International and the School of Finance and Economics of Jimei University further signed a framework agreement for university-enterprise collaboration. The forum also hosted a signing ceremony for Reanda International's three new network firms from Mauritania, Uzbekistan, and Lebanon.

Subsequently, Mr. Wang Yaping, President of the China Society of Foreign Trade and Accounting, former Commercial Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus, and senior volunteer at Reanda, delivered a speech on the pragmatic recommendations on ‘International Economic and Trade Trends and Corporate Compliance’. 

Professor Ms. Chen Lei, Vice Dean of the School of Finance and Economics at Jimei University, shared that Xiamen could leverage its port hub and overseas Chinese community resources to establish itself as a high ground for international shipping services and digital trade. 

Mr. Wang Zhixuan, Deputy Director of the “Belt and Road” Financial Development Research Centre at Xiamen National Accounting Institute, proposed that amid the current complex and volatile international landscape, China shall coordinate high-quality development with high-level security to advance the “Belt and Road” Initiative in a substantive and deepening manner. 

Mr. Han Zhaohua, Member of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of China Construction Science and Industry Corporation Ltd., shared the company’s globalisation practices and highlighted that Chinese infrastructure enterprises shall enhance international competitiveness through localised operations and the export of low-carbon technologies. 

Mr. Bharat Rijal, Vice Regional President for Southeast Asia and South Asia at Reanda International and Managing Partner of Reanda Nepal, shared the enhanced cross-border support services for SMEs in areas such as taxation and legal affairs from a South Asian market perspective. 

During the roundtable discussion session titled ‘A New Decade for Jointly Building the “Belt and Road”: New Opportunities and Patterns for Investment Promotion,’ Mr. Jin Xu, President of the China Society for International Trade, former Minister-Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom, and Senior Volunteer at Reanda, served as moderator. He engaged in discussion with Mr. Zhang Zhuran, Executive Director of the Jimei District International Cooperation Centre in Xiamen; Mr. Zhou Ning, Deputy Director of the Siming District Commerce Bureau, Xiamen, alongside government representatives. They were joined by Mr. Avinash Jagetiya, Investment Representative of the UAE Hamriyah Free Zone, Regional President of the Middle East and Africa Region of Reanda International and Managing Director of Reanda UAE; Ms. Meng Yuanyu, Investment Promotion Director of the Wanshida Industrial Park in the Batang National Economic Special Zone, Indonesia; and Ms. Nadia Yaich, Vice Regional President of the Middle East and Africa Region of Reanda International and CEO of Reanda Tunisia.
