Reanda International Annual Conference 2021

Reanda International's 2021 Annual Conference was held between 19 to 22 December 2021. Following the successful conclusion of the 5th Reanda International Belt and Road Business Services Forum held on 19 December, the two-day annual members meeting held on 21 and 22 December virtually was well attended by over 80 partners and professionals from the 50 global presence of Reanda International, who shared their professional insights, ways of cooperation and explored cross-border opportunities.

The conference theme this year was “Promoting Greater Global Economic Integration”. Under COVID-19, businesses around the world have been affected with different degrees of severity. We believe that, with a deeper economic integration globally, there is a greater potential for global economy and businesses to recover and flourish. As such, the conference theme highlighted the importance of a more integrated and interconnected global economy and how Reanda members can contribute positively to enhancing inter-regional co-operation for common prosperity of the network against this backdrop.

The first day of the international members meeting commenced with an opening remark delivered by the Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui and a working report by the CEO Mr. Franklin Lau to give an overview of the network’s next stage of development. It was followed by presentations from Mr. Mitsuo Kubo, Mr. L. L. Koong and Mr. Avinash Jagetiya, regional presidents of the Asia and Oceania Region, Southeast Asia and South Asia Region and Middle East and Africa Region respectively as well as Mr. Robert Bean and Mr. Achim Siegmann, vice presidents of Europe Regional Committee to share the latest development of their respective regions. The meeting was further brimmed by presentations by Ms. Zhao Xiaowei, Vice-Chairman of Merger and Acquisition Panel and Mr. L. L. Koong, Chairman of International Tax Panel (ITP) on recent successful respective M&A and tax cases within the network. Following this there was an insightful sharing by Mr. Gerard Uijtendaal, partner of Reanda Netherlands about his perspectives on Reanda International’s future development of consulting division. It was then followed by presentations from Reanda Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Brazil firm about their firms’ recent development. The meeting also welcomed the newly joined firms from Thailand, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary.

Day two of the meeting began with the presentation delivered by global technical officer Mr. Kenny Choi about the continuous progress on technical development of Reanda International. The meeting was then further highlighted by presentations of noteworthy issues in different countries and our network firm’s latest development as shared by Reanda China, UAE, Nepal, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Germany, UK and Nigeria firms. Reanda International Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui led an intriguing discussion on a new global project at his closing remark that may involve collaboration of over 20 Reanda International member firms which indeed opens a new page for us to move forward into 2022.
