Reanda International Annual Conference 2020

Reanda International's 2020 Annual Conference was held on 10 and 11 December 2020 virtually through video conference. The two-day meeting was well attended by over 80 partners and professionals from Reanda International network firms, who shared their professional insights, ways of cooperation and explored cross-border opportunities.

The conference theme this year was “Stay Growth, Let’s Leap Post-Pandemic”. In the times of crisis like COVID-19, businesses around the world have been affected with different degrees of severity. It is believed that if everyone clings to innovation for mutual cooperation and business growth, we may unlock more values together as we fight against the unanticipated and unprecedented challenges and will be able to rebound from the pandemic setback quickly in the post-pandemic period.

The first day of the International Members Meeting commenced with an opening remark delivered by the Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui and a working report by the CEO Mr. Franklin Lau to give an overview of the network’s development in 2020. It was followed by presentations from Mr. Mitsuo Kubo, Mr. L. L. Koong and Mr. Charilaos Hadjiioannou, regional presidents of the Asia and Oceania Region, Southeast Asia and South Asia Region and Europe Region respectively about the latest development of their respective regions. The meeting was further brimmed by presentations by Ms. Zhao Xiaowei, Vice-Chairman of Merger and Acquisition Panel and Mr. L. L. Koong, Chairman of International Tax Panel (ITP) on recent successful respective M&A and tax cases within the network; Mr. Kenny Choi, Global Technical Officer presenting the latest technical development of the network and Mr. Liang Hongxing, Vice Chairman of the Reanda International “Belt and Road” Finance, Tax and Law Supporting Centre sharing the Centre’s strategies in servicing Chinese enterprises that going global, followed by presentations from Reanda Italy and Taiwan about their recent development during the pandemic. The meeting also welcomed the newly joined firms from Canada, Switzerland, Philippines, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Day two of the meeting began with the presentation delivered by Global Technical Officer Mr. Kenny Choi about the progress of the Reanda International Globally Coordinated Internal Monitoring Programme. It was followed by experiences sharing by members who had participated in the monitoring programme, including Reanda China, Hong Kong, Turkey, Netherlands and UK. The meeting was then further highlighted by presentations of noteworthy issues in different countries and our network firm’s latest development as shared by Reanda China, Nepal, UAE, Bangladesh, Australia, Mauritius, India, Malta, Greece and Madagascar.

All the participants highly appreciated the effectiveness of the conference this year which was held virtually for the first time in the history, that members were able to engage with other members for networking and learn the latest development of different regions which facilitated information sharing and members collaboration despite meeting remotely.

Following the two-day international members meeting, the Reanda International 4th “Belt and Road” Business Services Forum will be held on 21 December 2020 in Beijing China. The Forum will discuss and explore the strategies for business service organisations in providing professional services to the Chinese enterprises with BRI projects amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and in the post-pandemic era. More than 100 guests and delegates including current and former minister counsellors from embassies of China abroad, government and industry leaders, representatives of various chambers of commerce and business service organisations, entrepreneurs, Reanda clients in China will join the Forum physically and about 80 partners and personnel from Reanda International network firms will virtually take part in this significant occasion.
