Chairman of Reanda International visited Pakistan

From 26 to 27 August 2019, the Reanda International delegation of three led by Chairman Mr. Huang visited Pakistan. During the visit, the team paid courtesy visits to government officials and Chinese enterprises with Reanda Pakistan partners to further promote the Reanda brand and to link up Reanda Pakistan with the Chinese associations and enterprises in the country.

In the morning of 26 August, the Reanda International delegation visited the Karachi head office of Reanda Pakistan and had a working meeting with the firm’s partners Mr. Abdul Rahim Lakhany, Mr. Zakaria, Mr. Muhammad Yameen, Mr. Farhan Ahmed Memon and Mr. Ali Lakhany. The meeting focused on several aspects including the ways of enhancing the promotion of Reanda Pakistan to the local Chinese enterprises. During the meeting, Chairman Mr. Huang advised strategies in providing services to Chinese enterprises and emphasized the importance of the establishment of China Desk to cater the needs of the Chinese clients. Mr. Abdul Rahim Lakhany, partner of Reanda Pakistan indicated to Chairman Huang that the firm has placed great importance on the promotion of Reanda brand and the firm had opened a new branch office in Lahore and would open another new office in Islamabad within the year to support the growing business needs.

The Reanda International delegation accompanied by Reanda Pakistan partners then made a visit to Mehran Sugar Mills Limited, a Pakistan-based listed company which is a leading producer and marketer of both white and brown sugar. The delegation met with director Mr. M. Hussain Hasham. During the meeting, Mr. Hasham introduced the background and business development of the company. Mr. Hasham also indicated that they had a close business relationship with China - the company exports some of their products to China while importing raw materials for their products from China. Both parties discussed potential business opportunities to be provided by Reanda Pakistan to the Chinese enterprises in Pakistan.

In the afternoon of the day, the Reanda International delegation led by Chairman Huang visited Bank of China Karachi Branch, as accompanied by partners of Reanda Pakistan, including Mr. Abdul Rahim Lakhany, Mr. Zakaria, Mr. Yameen, Mr. Memon and Mr. Ali Lakhany. The Reanda delegates met with Mr. Yuan Wenjun, General Manager of the Finance and Operation Department of the Bank. After Chairman Mr. Huang and Mr. Muhammad Haroon, managing partner of Reanda Pakistan’s introduction on Reanda International and Reanda Pakistan respectively, Mr. Yuan indicated that there was a huge demand on professional services provider with Chinese background for the Chinese enterprises in Pakistan, especially tax advisory services in view of the complexity of the local rules and regulations that some of the Chinese enterprises are not familiar with. Both parties also discussed and explored potential cooperation opportunities for mutual benefits.

On 27 August, the Reanda delegation as led by Chairman Huang and accompanied by Reanda Pakistan partners Mr. Yameen and Mr. Memon, paid a courtesy visit to the Economic and Commercial Section of the Consulate General of the Chinese Embassy in Karachi and met with Second Secretary Ms. Lin Min and Attaché Mr. Qin Xuqian. Chairman Mr. Huang presented the background of Reanda International as well as the achievements accomplished by the network in recent years. The meeting had covered various topics but not limited to the business environment of Pakistan and the challenges faced by the Chinese enterprises in Pakistan. Mr. Qin indicated that they encouraged Reanda Pakistan to consider providing financial and tax-related training services to the Chinese enterprises in Pakistan.

In the afternoon of 27 August, the Reanda International delegation as accompanied by Reanda Pakistan partners Mr. Haroon, Mr. Zakaria and Mr. Ali Lakhany visited Reanda Pakistan’s client Westbury Group (WG), a listed oil company in Pakistan, and met with their chairman Mr. M. Bashir Jan Mohammad and director Ms. Farhat Rasheed Jan Mohammad. During the visit, Reanda International chairman Mr. Huang introduced the history and structure of Reanda International. Mr. Mohammad shared with the delegation about the history of the collaboration between the company and Reanda Pakistan while WG has been a client of Reanda Pakistan for years. While Mr. Mohammad has close working relationship with a number of Chinese enterprises, after discussion both parties looked forward to foster a closer and in-depth working relationship with each others in near term.

Later in the day, the Reanda International delegation as accompanied by Reanda Pakistan partners Mr. Haroon, Mr. Yameen and Mr. Ali Lakhany paid a visit to the Arif Habib Group, a listed construction company in Pakistan, and met with Chairman Mr. Arif Habib and other key representatives including company director Mr. Samad A. Habib, CFO of Javeden, a member company of Arif Habib Group, Mr. Muneer Gaderand and CEO of Power Cement, a member company of Arif Habib Group, Mr. Muhammad Kashif Habib. During the meeting, Reanda International chairman Mr. Huang shared with Mr. Habib  the successful cases about Reanda International’s participation in facilitating the mutual collaboration of the business enterprises between China and other Asian countries.

Such fruitful visits by connecting Reanda Pakistan to the Chinese government officials and business associations would definitely facilitate the promotion of Reanda brand in Pakistan and increase Reanda’s exposure to the Chinese enterprises in Pakistan thus unlocking more business opportunities for our local member in this lucrative Chinese market.
