Reanda International hosted the first Asian regional meeting in Japan

Reanda International hosted the first Asian regional meeting on 9 April 2019 in Reanda Japan’s Tokyo head office. Some 15 partners and personnel from 10 network firms across China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Taiwan took part in the meeting through either physical attendance or video conferencing. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Huang Jinhui and Mr. Franklin Lau, Chairman and CEO of Reanda International respectively.

The meeting began with an opening remark addressed by Chairman Mr. Huang. Mr. Huang highlighted the achievement of the network over the past 10 years as spearheaded by the Asia region while sharing with members the long-term development strategy of the network to assist members to grow further and to increase the referral volume of the network. It was followed by a speech given by the CEO to update the latest regional development and introduce Reanda’s new East Asia and Oceania region to be launched later this year for the purpose of enhancing the regional development. After that was a spectrum of presentation given by members to introduce the latest firm development, noteworthy local rules and regulations of their respective countries latest current and potential cooperation members in the same region or beyond,??? as well as their experiences of job cooperation with fellow members. At this regional meeting, various initiatives were discussed and agreed upon which included but not limited to ways in facilitating the development and cooperation of members within and beyond Asia. The meeting was rounded off with a office tour in Reanda Japan’s Tokyo head office.

The regional meeting offered Asian members brilliant opportunity to network and mingle with each other in order to facilitate mutual collaboration and exchange of successful cooperation experience.

Presently in Asia there is South East Asia & South Asia Region with 8 network firms from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, India, Vietnam, Nepal, Pakistan included as overseen by the regional president Mr. LL Koong, managing partner of Reanda Malaysia.7 network firms from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand shall be included in the new East Asia and Oceania region. While a regional president shall be appointed for any regions with five or more network firms, the election of regional president for the East Asia and Oceania region shall be held in due course later this year.

Reanda Nepal held a seminar on updates of legal and taxation system of Nepal for Chinese entrepreneurs in Nepal

On 23 March 2019, Reanda Nepal hosted a business services seminar for Chinese enterprises at Annapurna Hotel in Kathmandu. The seminar, focused on updates of the local legal and taxation system,was well attended by over 120 guests, including honorable guest Mr. Zhang Fan, Minister Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese embassy in Nepal along with Mr. Zhu Qingjun, General Secretary of the Chinese Enterprises Association in Nepal,  representatives from the Chinese enterprises in Nepal as well as Mr. Franklin Lau, the CEO of Reanda International.

The program commenced with opening speech delivered by Counsellor Zhang and followed by keynote speech given by Mr. Franklin Lau and Mr. Bharat Rijal, managing partner of Reanda Nepal. During the seminar, Mr. Anjan K Dahal, Mr. Bhava Nath Dahal and Mr. Bishnu Bhandari, partners of Reanda Nepal, highlighted various aspects including but not limited to the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policies in Nepal, company registration requirements and relevant approval process by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), regulations on building permits and labor law as well as different features of tax system in Nepal. The seminar was a resounding success with overwhelming responses from representatives of the Chinese enterprises during the Q&A session.

Organizing such a informative seminar is not only strengthening the connection between Reanda Nepal and Chinese-tier enterprises, but also a brilliant opportunity to further enhance the Reanda brand profile in Nepal.

Reanda International holds on to its 24th place in International Accounting Bulletin 2019 World Survey

According to the International Accounting Bulletin (IAB) 2019 World Survey, Reanda International holds on to its 24th amongst the international accounting networks. Currently, Reanda International is represented by 35 network firms with more than 125 offices and 4,000 professionals, and a global aggregate fee income of USD222.4 million.

Based on the aggregate fee income in 2018, Reanda International excelled with a growth rate of 16% while the number of professionals was increased by 12% with an addition of 440 personnel by the end of 2018. A combination of factors contributed to the growth including the admission of 5 new network firms in Egypt, the Netherlands, Poland, Mozambique and Belarus, the overall growth of the existing network firms as well as the strong momentum of referral within the network which experienced a significant increase of 52% in volume comparing to 2017.

In 2018, all regions experienced Impressive development, especially the Asia Pacific region and Europe regions who delivered remarkable performance throughout the year; Reanda China (+13%) keeps leading the way while the network firm India (+82%), Indonesia (+53%) and Nepal (+50%) caught up substantially by recruiting new clients alongside with organic growth of the firms, which brought this region a total of 14% growth in 2018. Moreover, the fast growing Europe region reached a notable increase of 36% contributed by the admission of 3 new network firms in 2018 as well as the outstanding performance of Reanda Italy(+52%), Malta(+46%) and Cyprus(+27%) who endeavored to expand their client profile and recruit new staff to support the diverse needs of clients. Reanda’s service line fee shares remain similar to previous years across the network, audit and accounting service, tax service, advisory service and others accounted for 40%, 13%, 11% and 36% respectively.

In the year of 2019, Reanda International shall keep expanding its presence globally by recruiting quality and sizable firms in different regions as to enhance the ability to serve multinational clients and continue to explore potential cooperation amongst the network firms.

Hong Kong partner Mr. Tanny Yu elected as President of the Society of Chinese Accountants & Auditors (SCAA)

Reanda International is delighted to announce that Mr. Tanny Yu, partner of Reanda Hong Kong, has been elected to the President of the Society of Chinese Accountants & Auditors (“SCAA”) for a term of one year after the conclusion of the Society's Annual General Meeting on 14 December.

The SCAA is an incorporated body of professional accountants in Hong Kong established since 1913. Nowadays, SCAA has some 1,500 members including ordinary members who are practising accountants (auditors having practicing certificates and are qualified to sign audit reports) and affiliate members who are non-practising accountants. Their ordinary members, who are audit partners, represent a significant number of practising firms of accountants in Hong Kong. The SCAA aims to provide a platform for professional development and to serve as a technical support partner for members and their staff. In addition to its core role in the accounting industry, the SCAA has been catering to the care and needs of the community in Hong Kong.

The SCAA celebrated its 105th anniversary by organizing the first World Chinese Accountants Conference in Hong Kong in June 2018. The Chief Executive and the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region were the event’s Guests of Honor. Furthermore, the SCAA has received more than 8,000 attendants in 2018 in various seminars, forums, visits and other activities.

On this occasion, Reanda International would like to extend our congratulations to Tanny on achieving this professional milestone.

 
Reanda International Annual Conference 2018 in Beijing, China

Reanda International's 2018 Annual Conference was held from 18 to 20 November 2018 in Beijing, China. The conference was well attended by over 210 partners and professionals from Reanda International network firms, who shared their professional insights, ways of cooperation and explored cross-border opportunities.

While our network aims to service multinational clients that have service needs in many countries, we always looks at ways to assist members in exploring new business opportunities and winning new international clients. With the strong momentum of growing referrals within the network, this year’s theme “Ready for International Clients?” is closely aligned with our abovementioned initiatives, aims to spark members’ ideas and reflection on how to enhance the firm’s capacity and get ready to serve the international clients.

On the 18th November was the 2018 Belt and Road Business Services Forum jointly organized by  Reanda International and Reanda China, was held at the prestigious hotel China World Summit Wing Hotel. The forum was well attended by over 400 guests and delegates from government departments, embassies, business service organization and our network firms. During the Forum, a number of distinguished guests shared their insights on how Chinese enterprises could seize the business opportunities brought by the Belt and Road initiative and enhance their service capability at the same time. In the evening, all delegates attended the 25th anniversary dinner hosted by Reanda China to celebrate this significant occasion.

The morning of the 19th November 2018 was begun with a visit to the Reanda Beijing headquarters. It was followed by a sightseeing tour to the Tiananmen Square arranged for all the Reanda delegates and their accompanying persons.

In the afternoon, the council meeting was held at the Lijingwan International Hotel. The meeting commenced with an opening address by Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui, and followed by the presentation made by Mr. Franklin Lau, CEO of Reanda International offering an overview of the network’s development in 2018 and the strategic plans for 2019 embodied by the conference theme Ready for International Clients. After that it were the launching ceremony of the Global Technical and Quality Assurance Department and the BEPS/Transfer Pricing Team, which further enhance network’s internal monitoring and capacity of serving international clients. The highlights of the meeting included the presentation of member firms from the UK, Nepal, Germany, Madagascar, Pakistan and Egypt, on their latest development, the upcoming local business opportunities in their countries and any assistance needed from Reanda Network for unlocking business opportunities.

The day two conference was rounded off by a gala dinner hosted by Reanda International at the Nan Men Shuan Rou which serves authentic hot pot in traditional coal fired bronze pots in refreshingly unpretentious surroundings. All delegates share fond memories of the past 9 years of Reanda International.

In the last day of meeting, the International Tax Panel (ITP) meeting, chaired by Mr. Lorance Chan (Hong Kong), Vice-Chairman of the ITP of Reanda International commenced with an overview of the achievements and development of the ITP in 2018. It was followed by sharing of Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) development in Asia Pacific and Europe region, as well as noteworthy tax development in China and Hong Kong jointly presented by Ms. Jacqueline Huang (China), Mr. Lorance Chan and Ms. Alessandra Bitetti (Italy), Vice-Chairmen of the ITP. The highlight of the meeting was a mix of presentation from fellow members, namely Japan, Italy, Nepal, Germany and Macau to share noteworthy tax and BEPS development in their respective country/region. The meeting was ended by a dynamic discussion on a variety of key topics relating to tax and BEPS development.

The Merger & Acquisition (M&A) panel meeting of Reanda International was held in the afternoon and chaired by Mr. Huang Jinhui, Chairman of the International M&A Panel of Reanda International. The meeting was brimmed by the successful M&A cases and experiences sharing by Vice-Chairman of the M&A steering committee, Mr. Zuo Beiping and Ms. Zhao Xiaowei, and members from Turkey, UAE, Netherlands, Mozambique and Belarus. The meeting was ended by a heated discussion amongst delegates. In that evening, all delegates enjoyed the Chinese traditional acrobatic performance at the Chaoyang Theatre as arranged by Reanda International.

On 21st November 2018, the delegates managed to relax over a full day tour to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the longest wall in China who has been bestowed with the honour of being a AAAAA tourist spot, and the National Stadium (Bird Nest), the main stadium of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games which can accommodate 91,000 audiences.
