Upcoming Conference "The development of cooperation between Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs: key success factors"
Wednesday, 28 May 2014 10:24

Comprehensive strengthening and dynamic development of good-neighborly relations between Russia and China, the unity of views and opinions on a wide range of issues focused on world geopolitics and economics evokes a reciprocal desire of Russian and Chinese businessmen to expand direct cooperation in the various fields of industrial, scientific and commercial activities.

Searching for substantiated and guaranteed
ways to ensure sustainable cooperation of companies on a basis of joint investments, trade and technological exchange becomesa priority of this liaising.

However, in terms of differences of cultures, social and economic environment, traditions and the legal frameworks for doing business, as well as in the terms of
language barriers and other national features of businessmen’s activities in Russia and China, we face, as a rule, the obstacles preventing to the dynamic development of the cooperation process.

Among these barriers we should highlight some of the difficulties relating to searching for potential partners and the validation of their reliability, the absence of information on business regulations and the peculiar features of project implementation in foreign countries.

Implementation of joint projects
is constrained by the risks arising directly inside Russian companies. Among them, as the most significant, according to the view ofinternational market participants, are called challenges of "transparency" and "confidence", which causes an alertness on the part of potential foreign partners and investors, andprovides them with a view of the business environment in Russia as a high risk zone, which significantly increases the cost of the resources invested into projects.

In addition,
for many Russian companies, especially for small and medium-sized businesses, a salient issue concerning an access to foreign markets is the lack of their own qualified professionals in foreign trade, international law, standards of quality management systems (ISO / ISO 9001) and global certification of export-oriented goods, as well as in the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), taxation and transfer pricing in the course of transactions.

The ways for overcoming the aforesaid obstacles and for the achievement of positive resolutions of target goals will be discussed within the framework of a workshop venue-conference:
«The development of cooperation between Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs: key success factors».

The Conference will be held on June 17th, 2014 at
Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya Hotel (see below agenda).
